To send your message, click "Send Message." Note: Fundraiser managers have the option to disable this contact feature, so you may not have this option to reach them.

How do I check if my contribution went through?

If your donation is processed successfully, you’ll be taken to a confirmation page on YouCaring that says "Thank you." You’ll also receive a receipt for the donation via email to use for your records. If you do not see either one of these, your donation did not go through.

Please note that it may take up to six hours for your donation and message to show up on the fundraiser's profile page.

I think that fundraiser is fraudulent!

If you suspect a fraudulent campaign, please email help@youcaring.com with the suspected URL and we will investigate it immediately.

We have several safeguards in place and YouCaring makes every effort to verify fundraisers as legitimate. The YouCaring staff works closely with the fundraisers on our site. If suspicion is raised, we will always request more information. If we detect a problem, the fundraiser is removed and the account is closed.

Thankfully, YouCaring is a community of people dedicated to helping one another. As a result, our users watch for and flag posts they think are questionable. But despite our best efforts, we cannot be responsible for the accuracy of each fundraiser.

We recommended that you only donate to the fundraisers that you are familiar with and that you feel confident about.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations made on YouCaring.com are generally not tax-deductible because you are not giving directly to a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with a government issued EIN Tax ID number.  Please consult your tax adviser on any contributions you may make on YouCaring.com.

How do I set up Stripe?

Create your fundraiser. Then select Stripe as the donation processor.

Be sure that your currency and region are consistent. For example, USD for USA.

You will then have the option to create a Stripe account. Follow the prompts and complete the fields on the screen.

Once you receive the first donation, Stripe will send you a confirmation email to confirm the account. You have 7 days to respond to the email.

You will be prompted to connect your fundraiser to your existing Stripe account, assuming you used the same email on the fundraiser as you have listed on Stripe. To continue, select the button to connect your fundraiser to your Stripe account and authorize YouCaring to process donations for you.

Enter your info into the appropriate fields and select the authorize access button on the Stripe screen.

There is an initial delay of 7 days for the very first Stripe transfer; after this, we'll total your payments daily and send you the funds 2 days later.

Please note: If you do not complete the activation of your Stripe account within 7 days, or your donations reach $5,000 at anytime before your account has been activated, you will not be able to accept any new payments. Furthermore, if you don't complete the activation on your Stripe account within 21 days, your donations will be refunded.

How do I set up WePay?

If you are based in the US and have a US bank account, and you select WePay as the payment portal, a WePay account will automatically be created for you as part of the fundraiser creation process. The WePay account will be connected to your fundraiser, using the same email registered on your YouCaring fundraiser.

Once you receive the first donation, WePay will send you a confirmation email to complete the account set up and link a bank account so that you may access the funds! We recommend that you respond to this right away.
